Japanese Lantern
I originally designed this stone lantern in Maya to create a 3D printed version for my fish tank. Like the settlement I created, I ended up taking it a step further and decided to also create UV textures for the model.
I wanted to get some practice in using Substance Painter as a texturing process, where I had only used Photoshop before. I watched a Substance Painter tutorial series by Allegorithmic for some instruction on the basics, and went from there to create my textures for this model.
I had a lot of fun with this project and plan to expand this side of my portfolio by adding a Torii Gate and Japanese Temple as I make them.
